The exchange of your vows and rings is the central focus of your wedding day and since you are marrying in the Church, you will want to be aware of the directives of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Music Guidelines of the Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey. The music must be of sacred content and (Catholic texts) so choosing appropriate hymns from our hymnal is encouraged for your Wedding Mass or Ceremony. There is much great music written within the guidelines so getting an early start on the selection process is recommended. St. Philomena Parish provides the organist and (professionally trained) cantor.Please contact Steven Pierinelli, Director of Music to arrange a meeting to go over the music for your special day! All music arrangements must go through the parish director of music.
