Sacramental Prep

At St. Philomena, we feel privileged to prepare children for their special encounter with our loving God through the sacraments. Our Faith Formation program is attended by children in grades 1-8 every year. In first grade, children are introduced to the basics in preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Preparation continues more fully in second grade, when the children celebrate First Reconciliation in January and First Eucharist after Easter in May. For this sacramental year, we use the Renewed and Received program from Ascension Press. All parents of registered children have access to an online parent certification course.
